Campbell's Laws on Professional Ethics

  1. To have integrity means to do the what's right because its the right thing to do, not because of any reward or punishment.
  2. A decrease in budget does not mean a decrease in quality of service.
  3. Too much productivity is wasted worrying what others think, or do.
  4. If you can't say it to their face, shut up.
  5. Always strive to improve yourself.
  6. Unlike when you're in school, there are no 80% days.
  7. When things go wrong, take charge! Take responsibility! Make the tough decicisions!
  8. If you don't think you're good enough, you're not.
  9. The job comes first, make friends on your own time.
  10. The most important person you have to answer to is yourself.
  11. There are no half-measures or shortcuts to a job well done
  12. Always admit when you're wrong.
  13. Irresponsible is defined as an irrational need to make excuses and blame others.
  14. Learn to pick your battles wisely.
  15. Any organization that does not communicate effectively is not working at its full potential and is wasting it's resources.
  16. A job is more than a paycheck and benefits, if you don't also love what you do, you are forcing yourself and others to put up with mediocrity.
  17. Solve the problem.
  18. Dressing the part does increase your confidence.
  19. Attitude really does speak volumes.
  20. Remember, you are not expected to be perfect, but you are expected to give your best each and every day.
